My Daily Summer Workout

Honestly, I’ve never really been a workout person. I’ve never gone to the gym, and I stayed healthy and fit because I was dancing 30 hours a week. However, since I tore my ACL, I have barely been dancing and the only workout I get is when I do it myself. Even though I have not been home much this summer, I have gotten down a routine that works perfectly for me, and working out each day is a part of it!

It feels so good to get moving and work my muscles, and I really am loving it. Working out puts me in a good mood, and even if I get nothing productive done that day but a workout, I feel accomplished. My workout is short, and some might say it’s easy, but I am trying to get back in shape from not working out in 9 months, and it works for me!

50 crunches

45 Jumping jacks

20 lunges (10 on each leg)

35 squats

15 pushups

50 second plank

~1 minute break~

50 russian twists

30 single leg bridges

20 lunges (10 on each side)

35 squats

30 tricep dips

~1 minute break~

Right and left leg splits (Lean back/oversplit)

Middle split

Frog stretch (lean back)

Having this workout written down in my bullet journal, and having a habit tracker that goes along with it also really motivates me to workout every day. Some days I take off, because it is summer and I need time to relax, but I try to workout at least 6 days a week.
